As part of the inaugural Black Maternal Health Week (April 11-17) in partnership with the Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Healthy and Free Tennessee is hosting a special, free screening of the documentary film The Naked Truth: Death By Delivery which examines the rising maternal mortality rate in the U.S., particularly the staggering mortality rate of Black mothers. This Fusion special features doctors, midwives, doulas, mothers, and advocates who are working to address the systemic issue which is rooted in racism in America.

The film will start right at 6PM. Plan to arrive a few minutes early to find a seat and grab some snacks.

Group discussion on the film and what we can do in our community to decrease maternal mortality rates will follow the film.
